About
The Story
In 1989, Anna Bjurstam held her first aerobics class. She had no idea what she was starting.
She helped build Scandinavia's first fitness chain, then co-founded Raison d'Etre — the consultancy behind more than 200 spas across 70 countries. Then, in 2012, Six Senses came with a question: could it become the world's leading wellness hospitality brand? They wanted Anna to lead that transformation.
She sold Raison d'Etre to Pegasus Capital Advisors and went in. What followed was thirteen years of transformation. Six Senses became the world's leading wellness hospitality brand. In 2019, IHG acquired Six Senses at a value three to four times what it had been. The transformation she led was a significant part of why. She stayed on as Wellness Pioneer and Senior Strategic Advisor. She left in 2026.
She was building in parallel. She opened RoseBar Longevity — one of the first longevity clinics — and V Social Club, now AgebackCo, one of the first longevity clubs. She co-founded LivNordic, the spa brand running on Viking Cruises. She invested personally in the founders and companies she believes will define the next decade of this field.
Wahayla is what comes next. Built on the conviction that the most interesting chapter of this industry has not yet been written — and that writing it requires holding together what the field has traditionally kept apart: wellness, longevity science, and the dimension of human experience that underlies both.
